Mass Effect 3 Slammed By Metacritic User Reviews
Bioware’s space science fiction RPG Mass Effect 3 is released today and has caused a bizarre dichotomy in review scores between users and games journalists.
Popular review website Metacritic currently scores the PC version of ME3 a pathetic 2.2/10 from users, but a majestic 9.3/10 from journos.
One user review states “(Mass Effect 3) is made for drooling trash with no standards, and Bioware confirmed them as their target audience.”
Another writes “As someone who really enjoyed the other games in the series, this is a huge let down. From the dumbed down story, terrible animation and graphic issues, and the gaping plot holes this game is just BAD. Truly disappointing.”
In fact, there are 256 negative user reviews compared to just 58 positive.
Indeed, the majority of complaints from users appear to focus on ME3 being a simplified game compared to the previous titles in the series.
Personally, I haven’t had an opportunity to try out ME3, so I can’t comment on it’s quality. What do you think of it?
